Job summary

CVS Health via Omnicare seeks a Front End Pharmacy Technician to support long-term care facilities. You will triage requests, verify dosages, review narcotics, and supply pharmacists with critical patient information, while maintaining precise records.

Eligible candidates have a pharmacy technician license, 1+ year experience, and HS diploma or GED; PTCB certification is a plus. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive starting pay in the Tampa market.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• PTCB National Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required.
• Calculating and verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Reviewing narcotic Rx's to ensure timeliness.
• Providing dispensing pharmacist with information on allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications.
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer records.

Day In The Life

• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
• Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions

• Providing dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items that the computer flags
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer records

Pay Range

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is

$17.00 - $28.46

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
