Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks a pharmacy professional to uphold patient care in a customer-focused setting. You will retrieve medications, input data in the dispensing system, and prepare prescription labels while ensuring accuracy and privacy.

You will also handle insurance adjudication, paperwork, and medication orders, contributing to pharmacy initiatives and service quality for our customers. Retail experience and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or meets state requirements.
• Retail/Community practice experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficient typing skills and neat handwriting.
• Strong organizational and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medication from inventory and input patient data in the dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department and stock shelves.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient care standards.
