Job summary

Deaconess is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in all aspects of drug distribution, billing and patient record keeping under a pharmacist's supervision. The role supports 24/365 access to pharmacy services, with modern automation, EPIC system usage and centralized/decentralized workflows.

Required are a High School diploma and Indiana license or qualification for licensure, plus 1–2 years pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician licensed or in training in Indiana.
• 1–2 years pharmacy experience preferred.
• Must have medical terminology knowledge.
• On-the-job training available for certification within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drug distribution and pharmacy operations.
• Prepare medications and dispense under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter and verify patient data and prescriptions.
• Support clerical tasks and maintain records.
• Learn and operate department systems and equipment.
