Job summary

Duane Reade seeks a dynamic Pharmacy Technician to verify prescription information in our pharmacy team. You will retrieve, pour, weigh, measure and sometimes mix medications, prepare labels, and ensure accuracy before pharmacist review.

You must be fluent in English and flexible, able to work evenings and weekends. This role includes stocking, register scanning, and assisting the pharmacist with patient questions.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Verifies that the prescription information is complete and accurate.
• Retrieves, counts, pours, weighs, measures and sometimes mixes medication.
• Prepares the prescription labels, selects the type of container and affixes labels.
• Prices and files the prescription and ensures pharmacist review before dispensing.
• May establish patient profiles, prepare insurance claims and stock medications.
• Refer questions to a Pharmacist and assist with duties as assigned.
• Scan merchandise on the register and stock shelves.
