Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and to support all Pharmacy Department duties. The role involves using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, coaching staff, handling cash, and delivering a high-quality customer experience.

Ideal candidates will have six months of retail experience, strong math and computer skills, knowledge of inventory control, and PTCB certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist and coach technicians and cashiers as applicable.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Interact with customers to resolve issues and answer questions.
• Support Pharmacy Department operations, including inventory management and cash handling.
