Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in a fast-paced setting, reporting to a supervising pharmacist. You will assist with processing prescriptions, data entry, and medication preparation while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Candidate will interact with patients, handle transactions, and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and flexible availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older, depending on location requirements).
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure required where applicable
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and enter data under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare medications and assist with prescription workflows.
• Interact with customers and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain records, restock supplies, and keep the workspace clean and compliant.
• Support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment.
