Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in Marysville, WA, to support customers under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and perform administrative and service-based duties to keep customers satisfied.

No experience is necessary, as training is provided. Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus; there is a schedule Monday–Friday 8:00 am–8:00 pm and weekend shifts 9:00 am–6:00 pm.

• PREVIOUS CASHIER, CUSTOMER SERVICE, PHARMACY, HEALTH CARE OR HOME CARE EXPERIENCE A PLUS

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
