Job summary

Meijer is hiring a pharmacist to support the pharmacy department in a retail setting. You will provide friendly customer service, fill prescriptions, handle insurance claims, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities include inventory, labeling, order processing, and promoting clinical services to customers while upholding confidentiality and professional appearance. Prior retail experience is preferred and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Retail/Community pharmacy experience required or preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficient typing skills and neat, legible penmanship.
• Strong organizational and teamwork abilities.
• Reliable attendance and basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload and maintaining a clean pharmacy.
