Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will manage customer data, provide medication counseling, and support pharmacy operations to help meet financial and operational goals.

You will ensure compliance with federal and state laws, follow directions from the on-duty pharmacist, and maintain accurate records and security for controlled substances.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, all supervised by the Pharmacist.
• Follow directions from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager.
• Enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, complete all necessary paperwork relating to the pharmacy.
• Counsel’s patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.
• Fulfill general housekeeping duties.
• Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.
• Maintain security of all controlled substances
