Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician & Delivery Driver in Charlotte, NC. The role combines in-pharmacy duties with daily med deliveries, working 8:30am–5:00pm with potential overtime, Monday–Friday. Located at 3057 Freedom Drive, 116, Charlotte, NC 28208.

Responsibilities include filling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, inventory, and delivery logistics. Requires NC tech license, 1+ year data entry, and a valid driver\'s license.

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in North Carolina.
  • 1+ years of Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver\'s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Pharmacy Technician duties: fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, maintain inventory, process medication orders, and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clinic staff and consumers; perform clerical duties as assigned.
  • Delivery Driver duties: load vehicles with medications, deliver in a timely and courteous manner, obtain signatures, and complete required paperwork.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician & Delivery Driver to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions, making deliveries to and from the pharmacy, clinics, and resident homes, as well as performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Work: 60% Pharmacy Technician work during the morning. 40% pharmacy deliveries in the afternoons.

Hours:Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm EST with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm EST (may need to work later depending on business needs)

Location: 3057 Freedom Drive, Room 116, Charlotte, NC 28208

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Pharmacy Technician Duties:
    • Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
    • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
    • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
    • Receives and processes medication orders
    • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
    • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
    • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
    • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Pharmacy Delivery Driver Duties:
    • Load vehicles with medications/products for delivery
    • Provide timely and accurate completion of deliveries in an efficient and courteous manner
    • Verify receipt and provide signature for receipt of items delivered
    • Process any required paperwork according to established procedures
    • Shred paperwork for disposal
    • Assist in maintaining a clean pharmacy environment by performing various housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and disposing of trash
    • Stock vials
    • Stock bingo cards/bubble packs
    • Light computer data entry
    • Various other duties may be assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of North Carolina
  • 1+ years of Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license with good driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
