Guardian Pharmacy of Michigan is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for a 100% on-site role in Grand Rapids. You will enter prescriptions, triage faxes, verify dosages, and communicate with physicians and customers to ensure accurate dispensing.

A valid pharmacy technician license and strong computer skills are required; National Certification (PTCB) is preferred. The team operates in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience; advanced degree may substitute.
• Strong computer skills; pharmacy systems experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Update notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Answer calls from customers with courteous, proactive service.
• Process and follow up on refills with doctors’ offices as needed.
• Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems used (imaging, legacy OS).

Route calls as appropriate to ensure top level service* Ensure all prescriptions assigned for processing are completed in regular shift* Receive, evaluate, process and follow-up as needed with doctors’ offices on all refills assigned* Develop proficiency in the utilization of all pharmacy systems (ie document imaging, legacy pharmacy computer operating system)* On an as needed, may assist with filing of completed orders, packaging of medications, inventory, profiling of orders for medical records, and filling processed prescriptions to dispense to the patient* Develop and learn cycle in order to meet delivery deadlines.
