Qualifications

• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA.
• Three years of recent retail or professional pharmacy experience with claims adjudication.
• Call center experience required.
• Must provide CPhT license number.
• Internet speed test of 100 Mbps DL required.
• Private designated workspace required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for members, providers, and pharmacies via phone, chat, email, ensuring timely, accurate service.
• Resolve mail-order, benefit, formulary, costs, prior authorization, and claims issues; assist network pharmacies with claims processing.
• Support clinical pharmacists with patient and provider outreach, including appointment scheduling, clinical program enrollment, and medication adherence follow-up.
• Take ownership of member, provider, and pharmacy issues from initial contact through final resolution, coordinating with internal teams and documenting interactions.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools and internal knowledge systems to research and resolve inquiries while fostering a collaborative, diverse team environment.

Pharmacy Technician

Location: Fully remote - Excluding: CA, DE, MA, MI, NJ, NY, OR, WA, CO, IL

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Type: Contract, (5) months until about April 2027; can go perm based on performance

Schedules will be first-come, first-serve.

Common schedules include: M-F schedules, Tues-Sun schedules, (4) 10-hour days, majority of shifts start between 8:00 AM EST and 11:00 AM EST

Training schedule: M-F, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST for about 4 weeks (8-4:30pm CST)

No time off for the first (4) weeks, or in the month of January.

Job Description

• Serve as the primary point of contact for members, providers, and pharmacies across phone, chat, email, and written/digital channels, delivering timely, accurate, and consistent service.
• Resolve inquiries related to mail order, benefit design, formulary coverage, medication costs, prior authorization criteria, and claims adjudication, while assisting network pharmacies with prescription claim processing and accuracy against benefit guidelines and contract standards.
• Support clinical pharmacists with patient and provider outreach, including appointment scheduling, clinical program enrollment, and medication adherence follow-up.
• Take ownership of member, provider, and pharmacy issues from initial contact through final resolution, coordinating with internal teams as needed and accurately documenting interactions for continuity of care, quality assurance, compliance, and operational reporting.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools and internal knowledge systems to efficiently research and resolve inquiries while fostering a collaborative, respectful, and diverse team environment and supporting additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
