Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services in Charleston, SC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support mail-order prescription fulfillment for veteran patients. You will prepare, package, label, and distribute medications, working with pharmacy automation and detailed product selection workflows.

You will apply essential Pharmacy Technician skills in automation, inventory management, and accurate prescription processing in a structured clinical setting, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label, process, and distribute prescription orders accurately for pharmacist verification.
• Maintain inventory by stocking shelves, rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and filling automated devices and storage locations.
• Operate pharmacy automation and repackaging equipment, including Autofill devices, Baker Cells, Kalish cells, A-frames, electronic scales, and related systems.
• Use computer screens, scanning equipment, drug name, strength, and NDC information to select the correct medications and products.
• Clean pharmacy automation cells and perform first-level preventive maintenance, including basic cleaning, vacuuming, and minor adjustments.
• Follow SOPs and hazardous material / hazardous waste precautions.

Job Description

You'll support mail-order prescription fulfillment for our veteran population in Charleston, South Carolina, preparing, packaging, stocking, and distributing medications while working with pharmacy automation and detailed product selection workflows.

You'll apply your Pharmacy Technician skills across pharmacy automation, prescription fulfillment, inventory management, and product selection while supporting safe, efficient medication processing in a structured pharmacy environment.

Qualifications:

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting required unless otherwise authorized by the respective CMOP; or graduation from an Academic Technician Training Educational Program.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required.
• Basic typing and PC skills required.
• Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
• U.S. Citizen required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; push or pull up to 150 lbs on a rolling cart or pallet jack; stand or sit for 8-10 hours; stoop, reach upward, and perform repetitive motion tasks.
