Job summary

CVS Health in Collierville, TN seeks a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team specializing in MS, Oncology, Hepatitis, HIV, and more. You will assist customers, manage inventory, and process transactions within the POS system.

You will collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to deliver accurate, compassionate service and ensure timely handling of requests, with a focus on safety and quality in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician Registration.
• 6+ months experience in customer service within healthcare or similar service.
• CPhT or ExCPT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by responding to specialty product inquiries and recommending solutions.
• Maintain specialty retail store operations: inventory, restocking, displays.
• Communicate promotions and product updates to customers.
• Gather customer complaints or concerns for management to improve service.
• Monitor sales metrics such as revenue, units sold, and conversion rates.
• Process transactions and handle cash in the POS system.
• Collaborate with specialty retail associates and technicians to ensure a positive experience.
• Prioritize tasks and manage workloads to meet requests and services deadlines.
• Provide basic repairs or step-by-step guidance for specialty products/services.

CVS health has an exciting new opportunity as a Pharmacy Technician on our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team. The team specializes in MS, Oncology, Hepatitis, HIV, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Transplant and Gastrointestinal diseases As part of the team, you will you will be leading an innovative and bold initiative aimed at transforming health care and pharmacy leveraging new and emerging information, technologies and channels.

• Assists customers by responding to specialty product inquiries and providing technical advice or recommendations for specialty needs.
• Maintains specialty retail store operations by completing inventory management tasks, restocking shelves, and organizing displays.
• Communicates with customers and shares announcements and/or promotions on the latest product releases, features, and technology trends.
• Compiles customer complaints, inquiries, or concerns for senior managers to help improve future customer service outcomes.
• Monitors key sales metrics related to daily, weekly, and monthly sales revenue, units sold, average transaction value, and conversion rates.
• Operates within the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions, handle cash, and operate payment terminals.
• Drives effective team collaborations with specialty retail associates and technicians to provide customers with a positive experience.
• Determines how best to prioritize tasks and manage workloads to ensure the timely completion of customer requests and specialty retail services.
• Performs basic repairs or provides step-by-step instructions to customers to help resolve issues with specialty retail products and/or services.

The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician Registration

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior authorization experience
• 6+ months experience required in a customer service position within in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.
• CPhT or ExCPT Certification

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Pay Range

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is

$17.00 - $25.65

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
