Job summary

Walgreens is transforming pharmacy technician roles into patient-centered positions. As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you’ll interact with customers, build relationships, and grow with comprehensive training and ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship support.

You will gain foundational and advanced pharmacy skills, become PT CB certified as you advance, and contribute to high-quality patient care in a Walgreens setting.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment (preferred).
• Prior Walgreens experience (preferred).
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions, count, weigh and verify medicines; check for interactions.
• Provide and model a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Support inventory management and coordination with healthcare providers.
