Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice. You will be front and center with customers, building strong patient relationships, while leveraging modern technology to grow your career.

The program offers an “earn while you learn” apprenticeship, aiming to certify you as a PTCB-certified Pharmacy Technician, with training across core pharmacy operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English required.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Six months experience in retail preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• PTCB certification or pursuing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information and manage prescription processing and cash register use.
• Support inventory management and supplier coordination as needed.
• Assist in coordinating clinical services and outreach to health groups.
