Job summary

Walgreens is expanding its pharmacy technician roles into a more patient-centered experience. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you’ll interact with customers and build strong patient relationships, with access to advanced technology to support career growth.

We offer an ASHP- and DOL-recognized “earn while you learn” apprenticeship program leading toward PTCB certification and a portable credential for advancement in pharmacy care.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for counting and weighing medications; basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred or training available.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Maintain accurate checkout and cash-handling procedures.
• Provide a distinctive and courteous customer experience.
• Support inventory management and shelf stocking as needed.
• Participate in patient care activities and clinical services when required.
