Job summary

Walgreens is seeking Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Technician Apprentices to be at the forefront of patient-centered care in our stores. You will support pharmacists, operate pharmacy systems, and help build strong patient relationships while advancing toward PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and other Pharmacy Department duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Enter patient and drug information, ensure accuracy, and support workflow scheduling.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical products.
• Handle cash and operate cash registers, help customers locate OTC products.
• Support clinical services and coordination with Walgreens healthcare clinics as required.
