Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Sumter, SC to join a patient-centric team. You will interact with customers and help build strong patient relationships while using state-of-the-art tools.

The program includes an ASHP/Department of Labor recognized earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship, guiding you toward PTCB certification and ongoing growth in the pharmacy care field.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications and verify accuracy.
• Support inventory management and maintain clean, organized pharmacy area.
• Provide a friendly, distinctive customer experience and help customers with questions.
