Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric. As a Pharmacy Technician or Technician Apprentice, you will engage customers, assist pharmacists, and develop strong patient relationships. The program supports earning PTCB certification and advancing toward a certified technician credential.

You will learn to use pharmacy systems, manage prescriptions, and support inventory while delivering excellent service in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math, counting and weighing medications skills advantageous.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with store inventory control helpful.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, and verify accuracy.
• Handle cash register operations and assist with OTC product locations.
• Support inventory management and coordination with the pharmacy team.
