Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles toward a patient-centric model. As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you will engage with customers, support pharmacists, and grow through our training program recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor.

The role emphasizes learning to become a certified pharmacy technician (PTCB) while developing strong patient relationships and mastery of pharmacy systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Good computer skills and basic store inventory knowledge.
• PTCB certification is preferred or obtainable through Walgreens program.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and pharmacy duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build patient relationships.
• Support inventory management, ordering, receiving, and shelving of medications.
• Support clinical service coordination with healthcare providers as needed.
