Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.
• Good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.
• Good computer skills; familiarity with store systems helpful.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and check for interactions.
• Register all related sales on the cash register and assist customers at the OTC aisle.
• Handle telephone calls to physicians and coordinate with the pharmacy team.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience and develop relationships with patients.
