Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric, placing technicians at the front to engage customers and build relationships. The Pharmacy Technician Apprentice path offers hands-on training with the aim of earning PTCB certification while delivering care.

Through the apprenticeship, you'll work under supervision, learn to use pharmacy systems, process prescriptions, assist with inventory, and support physicians and customers in a collaborative healthcare

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist with and coach in operations of pharmacy systems and cash registers where applicable.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Support inventory management and ensure proper stock levels.
