Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Technician Apprentice in Colorado. This role centers on patient-centered service, with training through an ASHP and Department of Labor approved apprenticeship to become a PTCB certified technician.

You will learn and perform pharmacy system tasks, assist pharmacists, and support daily operations. The program emphasizes earning while you learn and career growth within Walgreens.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions, verify medications and check for possible interactions.
• Assist with cash handling, customer assistance, and basic inventory management.
• Support pharmacy team in regulatory compliance and quality assurance programs.
