Job summary

Walgreens is hiring dedicated Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Technician Apprentices to join our customer-focused team. In this role, you’ll assist pharmacists, engage with patients, and learn through an ASHP and DOL-approved training program.

The program helps you pursue PTCB certification while earning and gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy, with opportunities to advance as you build strong patient relationships.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math and computer skills.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in pharmacy duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist with training other technicians and cashiers in pharmacy operations.
• Deliver a positive and distinctive customer experience.
• Maintain inventory and accurate record-keeping for Rx drugs.
• Follow company policies and procedures and uphold Good Faith Dispensing.
