Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our front-line team and engage with customers, build patient relationships, and support daily pharmacy operations.

As part of our transformed, patient-centric pharmacy, you’ll participate in an apprenticeship program that guides you toward PTCB certification while gaining hands-on experience and using the latest pharmacy technology.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of retail experience.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for counting and weighing medications.
• Prefer basic computer skills and store inventory knowledge.
• PTCB certification preferred when possible.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing medications and entering patient information.
• Process prescriptions and coordinate with third party billing.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong patient relationships.
• Support pharmacy operations including inventory management and maintaining accurate records.
