Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician/Apprentice to join our team in a patient-focused role. You will assist the pharmacist, process prescriptions using our pharmacy systems, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting inventory and daily operations.

The program includes hands-on training toward PTCB certification, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Strong math, computer skills, and prior Walgreens experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills and inventory knowledge preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications and verify accuracy.
• Deliver a courteous, distinctive customer experience and resolve customer questions.
• Support inventory management and related store operations.
