Job summary

Walgreens in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the heart of patient care. You will greet customers, assist pharmacists, enter patient information, and help process prescriptions while delivering friendly, accurate service.

Our training program, including ASHP and DOL endorsed apprenticeship, leads to PTCB certification. You will gain hands-on experience, learn pharmacy operations, and grow toward professional credentials while supporting

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Retail vs pharmacy experience beneficial.
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills helpful.
Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and assist with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
Assist pharmacists in dispensing and entering patient information into pharmacy systems.
Help with inventory, cash handling, and checkout duties.
Support clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers as needed.
Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and quality standards.
