Qualifications

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior Walgreens experience.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing medications).
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist cashiers as needed.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Develop strong relationships with valuable customers.
• Assist in inventory management activities: ordering, unpacking, checking and stocking pharmaceuticals.
• Register all related sales on the cash register and handle cash.
• Handle calls to physicians as needed.
• Process (correct and resubmit) manual claims for third-party prescriptions.
• Assist in coordinating clinical services and patient-related activities.
• Maintain good relationships with the local medical community and external providers.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and orderly pharmacy area; comply with policies.
• Complete special assignments as needed.
