Job summary

Walgreens is actively seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Chesterton, Indiana. You will interact with customers, support pharmacists, and help manage prescriptions while growing through our earn-while-you-learn program.

As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician, you’ll train to become PTCB certified, build medication knowledge, and advance with a national leader focused on patient care and community health.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math and computer skills; knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and patient service.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Provide friendly customer service to customers and patients.
• Handle cash register operations and sales transactions.
• Maintain inventory and organize shelves in the Pharmacy.
• Support training and uphold Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
