Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System – Treasure Valley is offering a Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program. The role is full-time and paid, with on-site hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The program lasts 10 weeks and provides hands-on classroom, lab, and clinical training to prepare you for pharmacy technician duties. Upon successful completion, there is a guaranteed promotion to a Pharmacy Technician role within St. Luke’s Pharmacy Services. St.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Learn on the job across classroom, lab, and experiential training.
• Prepare and process medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Manage automated dispensing devices and medical dispensing technology.
• Order and receive medications as part of the pharmacy supply chain.
• Utilize pharmacy technology to support safe and efficient processes.
• Maintain high standards in cleaning, logging, recalls and medication monitoring.

Classes start every four weeks!

• Full-time, paid position—Get paid while you learn!
• Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

• Opportunity to become PTCB certified—St. Luke's covers the cost of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam!
• Guaranteed promotion to a Pharmacy Technician role within St. Luke's Pharmacy Services upon successful completion

What You’ll Do

• Learn on the job as you participate in all classroom, lab, and experiential training.
• Prepare and process medications—You'll assist in compounding and preparing medication orders under the guidance of pharmacists and experienced technicians.
• Manage automated dispensing devices and medical dispensing technology.
• Order and receive medications—Be an essential part of the supply chain for pharmacy operations.
• Utilize pharmacy technology to support safe and efficient processes.
• Maintain high standards in cleaning, logging, recalls, and monitoring medications.
