Job summary

AnewHealth is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to monitor and dispense medications using automated machines, while supporting inventory and ensuring accurate patient packs.

Ideal candidates are registered or registered within a year, with a high school diploma and PTCE certification. The role requires 18+ on-site work, strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Register with Ohio Board of Pharmacy within one year if not already registered.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) and Ohio registration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, fill and organize medication dispensing for automated machines.
  • Support inventory activities and ensure accuracy of patient ExactPacks.
  • Stock received pharmacy inventory and organize shelves.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and proper station stocking.
  • Meet daily pharmacy goals to ensure timely delivery to patients.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve issues.

Job Details

The ATP Pharmacy Technician is responsible for monitoring, filling and organizing the medication dispensing of our automated machines. They will also support inventory activities. As well, this person will be held to a high standard of accountability to guarantee the accuracy of the patient’s ExactPacks.

Responsibilities
  • Process correct bags through the automated machines.
  • Maintain a high level of quality assurance for medication dispensing.
  • Responsible for stocking received pharmacy inventory.
  • Organization of medication shelves and maintain cleanliness of work station.
  • Ensure station is properly stocked at all times.
  • Monitor station queues.
  • Accountable for meeting daily pharmacy goals to make certain timely delivery to patients.
  • Demonstrates superior written and verbal skills to communicate with internal counterparts to resolve patient issues.
  • Embodies AnewHealth’s Core Values in all communications and interactions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma /GED required. If no prior pharmacy experience, must be committed to registering with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and obtaining a pharmacy certification within one year of employment. Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board and registered with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, preferred.

Experience

Must be 18+ years of age.

Physical/Mental Demands

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the pharmacy for extended periods of time. Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling medications, operating equipment, and using computer systems. Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity to read prescription labels, reports, and computer screens accurately. May require bending, reaching, and repetitive motions during production activities.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
