Job summary

Woodmark Pharmacy of MA is seeking a dependable Certified Pharmacy Technician to support long term care and assisted living residents in Massachusetts. This full-time, on-site role includes a competitive benefits package, 401(k) with company match, and a starting wage of $22.95 per hour.

Shift is 2pm-10pm on weekdays with every third weekend, rotating weekends with some schedule flexibility. Responsibilities include accurate dispensing, label generation, inventory management, and preparing

Qualifications

  • Minimum age 18 years or older required; HS diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred
  • Employment Certificate/Permit required where applicable
  • Familiarity with pharmacy terminology through certificate course or related experience
  • Must read, write, and understand English at an intermediate level or higher

Responsibilities

  • Fills prescriptions correctly, labeling, packing and ensuring accuracy
  • Removes labels from printers and retrieves drugs for orders
  • Places products for pharmacists to check before delivery
  • Keeps dispensing, inventory, storeroom, and office areas clean
  • Receives and restocks inventory from wholesalers/manufacturer (excluding controlled drugs)
  • Reorders products using wholesaler computer systems
  • Operates TCGRX machines for cycle and new admit orders
  • Interprets Dashboard to manage outgoing deliveries
  • Bags totes and prepares items for driver delivery
  • Maintains refrigerator temperature logs and notifies if issues arise
  • Rotates stock when shelving wholesalers orders
  • Refills emergency boxes, antibiotics, hydration totes timely
  • Maintains policies, certifications, and training; stays updated with best practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Woodmark Pharmacy of MA is looking for a dependable and responsible Certified Pharmacy Technician to make a difference in the lives of our residents in our long term care and assisted living communities. This is a Full Time, on-site position.

Shift: Second Shift (2pm-10pm on weekdays and every third weekend) Must be able to meet schedule requirements.

Rotating weekends but there is flexibility.

Responsibilities

Certified Pharmacy Technician:

  • Fills prescriptions correctly, utilizing the computer-generated labels as well as completing the packing label and any auxiliary labels for the product to ensure the prescription is dispensed.
  • Removes labels from printers for new and refilled prescription orders, obtains appropriate drugs from shelves for new and refill prescription orders.
  • Places the product in the appropriate facility dock space or cycle area for pharmacists to check before delivery.
  • Maintains a clean and neat dispensing, inventory, storeroom, general office, and other work areas at all times.
  • Receives and restocks inventory upon receipt of orders from the wholesaler or manufacturer (except controlled drugs).
  • Reorder’s products, utilizing the wholesaler’s computer as assigned.
  • Ability to use TCGRX machines to fill cycle and new admit orders.
  • Understands and interprets the Dashboard to have knowledge of what needs to go out on a delivery.
  • Bags and totes facility orders to be delivered and brought to drivers as required.
  • Maintains refrigerator temperature logs; notifies supervisor if temperature varies from normal range.
  • Rotates stock when putting wholesalers order away.
  • Refills all emergency boxes, antibiotic, and hydration totes in a timely manner.
  • Empties work area of garbage and HIPPA information daily.
  • Checks for outdates and places in return area for credit and destruction.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures and ability to reference them.
  • Maintains any required certifications, in‑services, and training; remains up to date with best practices and any changes in operation of equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Certified Pharmacy Technician

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required; HS diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification is prefered
  • Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals
  • Familiarity with pharmacy terminology through certificate course or comparable experience in a Pharmacy work setting preferred
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
