Lexington Prescription Center is a locally owned, independent community pharmacy seeking a dependable Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced, patient-centered team in Virginia. The role requires an active Virginia license and at least 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, with responsibilities spanning dispensing, data entry, billing support, and customer service.

The successful candidate will maintain HIPAA compliance, assist with inventory, and provide accurate prescription processing

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician license/registration required.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Some Saturday hours are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
• Enter prescription information into the pharmacy system accurately.
• Process insurance claims and assist with billing issues.
• Answer phone calls and assist customers with prescription questions and refill requests.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Operate cash register and process customer transactions.
• Assist with inventory management, stocking, and expiration date checks.
• Prepare prescriptions for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, providers, and insurance companies.
• Follow all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
