Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy operations in Staunton, VA. The role includes dispensing prescriptions under supervision, clerical duties, and maintaining inventory with strong customer service skills.

Hours are Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm EST. Active Virginia license required; National Certification preferred. Telecommuting not available; onsite at 85 Sangers Lane, Staunton, VA 24401.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Virginia Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Pharmacy data entry experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescription orders under direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Provides exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
• Manages pharmacy supplies: orders, receives and storage.
• Processes wholesaler medication orders and maintains inventory records.
• Verifies stock and enters data into the computer system.
• Assists in pharmacy functions and ensures compliance with federal/state rules.
• Performs related clerical duties as needed.

We seek aPharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm EST with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm EST

Location: 85 Sangers Lane, Staunton, VA 24401

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

• Accessto reliable transportation

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
