OnePoint Patient Care is hiring a Full Time Pharmacy Technician in San Leandro, CA, working in a closed-door, non-retail hospice environment. The role emphasizes accuracy in dispensing, labeling, and data entry, with opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training.

Responsibilities include compounding non-sterile medications, inventory management, and operation of automation like Omnicell, while collaborating with a supportive team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented; team player; effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products, including cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding (liquids, powders, ointments).
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management; check stock and remove expired meds.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
• Operate automated machines to prepack medications.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
• Service facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., Omnicell).
• Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.

Schedule

Monday to Friday 12pm-8pm, rotate working 1 weekend per month, 2 holidays per year.

• Perform specialized tasks that may include:
• Working in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room.
• Operating automated machines to prepack medications.
• Mixing IV medications and sanitizing IV room/equipment.
• Servicing facility-based dispensing machines (e.g., Omnicell).
• Perform other pharmacy support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
• Position will be posted for a minimum of 7 business days.

Salary Range

USD $23.00 - $25.00 / Hour
