Job description

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Location: 6 Mathis Drive Rome, GA.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, 8‑hour shifts with lunch 12:30pm-1:00pm.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Work with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Georgia
• Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work onsite at 6 Mathis Drive Rome, GA, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm

Preferred Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

Compensation

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full‑time employment. Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We comply with all minimum wage laws.
