Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets is seeking a part-time Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join our pharmacy team. You will verify prescriptions, process requests, dispense medications, and build strong relationships with customers while ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with Virginia Board of Pharmacy requirements.

Candidates must be a CPhT and proficient with computer systems, with solid math skills for precise transactions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in basic math to support accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Verify and input prescription information, process prescription requests and dispense medication.
• Build trusted relationships with customers through patience, empathy, and compassion.
• Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for patients.
• Maintain inventory levels through proper ordering and rotating drugs and supplies.
• Handle products and equipment properly and maintain accurate logs.
