Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support mental health and specialty pharmacy operations under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Location: 228 NE Jefferson Ave., Peoria, IL 61603.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm CST with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm CST. You will dispense prescriptions, handle clerical duties, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements while delivering excellent

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois.
• Experience with pharmacy data entry and prescription processing is preferred.
• Ability to drive to deliveries and maintain reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clinic staff and consumers.
• Fill prescription orders under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
• Order, receive, and store pharmacy supplies; process wholesaler medication orders.
• Verify medication stock and enter data to maintain inventory records.
• Assist in pharmacy functions to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Perform clerical duties related to the department.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Location: 228 NE Jefferson Ave., Suite 207, Peoria, IL 61603

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm CST with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm CST

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Illinois
• Ability to use your own vehicle when needed to make deliveries
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
