Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for evening shifts (10:00am-6:00pm) to support pharmacists in preparing medications and ensuring patient safety. The role involves inventory tasks, training responsibilities, and working within a busy hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has NYS Pharmacy Technician License or PTCB/NHA, with Omnicell experience and a couple of years in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting preferred.
• Certification as PTCB or NHA strongly preferred.
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License required.

Responsibilities

• Update patient census using Omnicell pharmacy inventory systems.
• Assist with the training of students, interns, and new technicians.
• Help licensed pharmacists provide medications and high-quality care to patients.
• Advocate for patient safety as part of an empowered team.

Preferred Criteria:

• Experience utilizing Omnicell pharmacy inventory automation systems.
• 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital environment IV experience ideal

Required Criteria:

• High School Diploma/GED PTCB Certification or NHA Certification
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License

Salary Range: $37.58-$38.11/Hourly
