Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently transcribing, processing, and filling medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist in the dispensing and distribution of medications.
- Model and deliver exceptional customer service to patients and members of the medical community, cultivating a strong, positive working-relationship on behalf of the pharmacy.
- Aid the pharmacist in inventory and business supply management.
- Maintenance of the computer system and pharmacy records.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of a technician with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Reconciliation of billing from third party payers.
- Any other duties related to the practice of pharmacy as deemed necessary by the pharmacist.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Current CA Pharmacy Technician Registration.
- Knowledge of brand/generics, strength and dosage forms.
- Ability to read, understand and transcribe pharmaceutical and prescription information.
- Ability to become proficient in learning the computer pharmacy system during probationary period.
- Retail experience is preferred.
