Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently transcribing, processing, and filling medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in the dispensing and distribution of medications.
• Model and deliver exceptional customer service to patients and members of the medical community, cultivating a strong, positive working-relationship on behalf of the pharmacy.
• Aid the pharmacist in inventory and business supply management.
• Maintenance of the computer system and pharmacy records.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of a technician with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reconciliation of billing from third party payers.
• Any other duties related to the practice of pharmacy as deemed necessary by the pharmacist.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Current CA Pharmacy Technician Registration.
• Knowledge of brand/generics, strength and dosage forms.
• Ability to read, understand and transcribe pharmaceutical and prescription information.
• Ability to become proficient in learning the computer pharmacy system during probationary period.
• Retail experience is preferred.
