Pharmacy1st Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Mifflintown, PA to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and managing patient interactions.

You will handle prescriptions, insurance questions, and daily inventory, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and a patient-centered approach in a busy rural clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain state pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by state law.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in accurately filling and dispensing prescription medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in accurately filling and dispensing prescription medications.

• Handle point-of-sale transactions, process insurance claims, and assist patients with billing questions.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment in accordance with state and federal regulations.

• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to answer general inquiries and direct complex questions to the pharmacist.

• Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements at all times.
