Responsibilities

• Repackaging, preparing, labeling medications, IV solutions, non-sterile compounds, and automated dispensing cabinets under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform calculations, complete documentation, and ensure pharmacist review before dispensing.
• Deliver medications to patient care units, manage transfers, and remove expired or recalled medications.
• Understand and follow proper handling procedures for controlled substances.
• Answer phones, assist customers, and manage pneumatic tube station operations.
• Fill and deliver interdepartmental orders, maintain logs and records.
• Operate pharmacy equipment (computers, fax machines, printers, automated dispensing cabinets, telephones).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment by restocking and cleaning workstations.
