Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Pharmacy professional to practice in a retail environment, delivering exceptional patient care and customer service. You will manage prescription processing, inventory, and patient interactions to support pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities include dispensing, insurance adjudication, paperwork, and maintaining confidentiality, with emphasis on accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork within a busy store setting in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Retail/community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Proficient typing and neat handwriting.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication and being an agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
