Job summary

Optum’s Genoa mental health pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. The role is on-site in Madison, WI, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities include filling orders, inventory management, processing wholesaler orders, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements, while delivering professional service to clinic staff and patients.

Qualifications

  • Active Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Minimum 6 months of Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Able to work onsite at 49 Kessel Court, Madison, WI.
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.

Job description

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy. The role mainly involves dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with a lunch break from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.

Preferred Qualifications
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Sign‑on bonus of $3,000 is available to external candidates only. Internal candidates from UnitedHealth Group or affiliated entities are not eligible.
Pay and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors. In addition to salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase plans, and 401(k) contributions (subject to eligibility). We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
