Lincoln Surgical Hospital in Lincoln, NE is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team and help provide extraordinary care. This full-time position supports medication distribution, inventory control, and patient safety in a busy surgical setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma, Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license, current BLS, and PTCB certification within 90 days. Sterile compounding and prior pharmacy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• PTCB certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Monitor medication expiration dates and ensure proper storage and labeling.
• Inspect and document inventories in crash carts and emergency supplies.
• Maintain records of medication purchases and inventory.
• Manage anesthesia box records and maintain logbooks.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in Pyxis dispensing systems.
• Deliver medications and pharmacy supplies to care departments.
• Document medication histories in the EMR, including prescriptions, OTC meds, vitamins, and supplements.
• Enter daily pharmacy medication and supply orders.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team and help provide extraordinary care.

Schedule

Full-Time | 80 Hours per Pay Period

Monday - Friday | 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform monthly expiration date monitoring of medications and solutions throughout the facility, ensuring proper storage, labeling, dating, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Inspect and document medication inventories within crash carts, malignant hyperthermia carts, respiratory carts, latex allergy kits, and pediatric emergency boxes.
• Maintain records of controlled and non-controlled medication purchases and inventory.
• Manage anesthesia box records, maintain accurate logbooks, and appropriately file documentation.
• Assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies within Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
• Deliver medications and pharmacy supplies to patient care and ancillary departments.
• Accurately obtain and document medication histories within the electronic medical record, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and nutritional supplements.
• Enter daily pharmacy medication and supply orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician certification and Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Current BLS certification required at the time of hire.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Sterile compounding experience preferred.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
