Job summary

Our client Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking a dependable Pharmacy Technician to support its pharmacy operations. This role collaborates with pharmacists to prepare and dispense medications, assist patients, process prescriptions, and maintain an organized, efficient environment.

The position offers $22–$28 per hour, negotiable based on experience, plus benefits. Candidates should have a high school diploma and pharmacy-related training; state registration or CPhT credential is preferred,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pharmacy technician training program completion preferred.
  • CPhT credential preferred.
  • Current state registration or license preferred, as applicable.
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred; retail or community pharmacy experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using pharmacy management systems and other pharmacy-related technology.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with the accurate preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
  • Enter and update prescription and patient information within the pharmacy’s management system.
  • Provide friendly and professional service to patients, including responding to general questions and directing clinical concerns to the pharmacist.
  • Process prescription orders, payments, and insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to support timely prescription fulfillment.
  • Help resolve insurance rejections, coverage questions, and other prescription-processing issues.
  • Maintain an organized and clean pharmacy environment.
  • Stock medications and supplies, monitor inventory levels, identify expired products, and assist with reordering.
  • Operate pharmacy equipment and technology, including medication-counting equipment, point-of-sale systems, and automated dispensing tools.
  • Support medication adherence initiatives and other patient-care programs as needed.
  • Follow all applicable pharmacy regulations, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Perform additional pharmacy-related duties as assigned.
