Job summary

The qualified candidate will assist the pharmacist in providing optimal, patient-focused care. Responsibilities include prescription data entry and dispensing, insurance billing and claim follow-up, patient payments, inventory and supply management, medication synchronization, medication therapy management support, patient assistance programs, pharmacy compliance and record keeping, and assisting with pharmacy projects and staff training. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or GED required. Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy is preferred, but will train the right candidate. One year of pharmacy experience preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good computer skills required. Must be comfortable with phone-based patient interaction, maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and NMHC policies and procedures. Regular attendance is essential. Monday-Friday availability is required, with shifts varying based on scheduling needs. Infrequent travel to other clinic sites may be required.
