Overview

A Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing customer service. They play a vital role in ensuring patients receive accurate prescriptions safely and efficiently. GTD Hrs weekly: 40 hrs.

Base pay range

$21.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and labeling prescriptions.
• Process prescription orders and verify information for accuracy.
• Manage and maintain medication inventory, including stocking shelves and monitoring expiration dates.
• Enter prescription data into pharmacy computer systems.
• Handle insurance claims and resolve billing issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting patients at the counter or over the phone.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding the handling of medications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pharmacy work area.
