Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician at our Pendleton, Indiana location. Assist licensed pharmacists by preparing medications, maintaining patient profiles and handling insurance claims. You will stock shelves, count tablets, label bottles and provide friendly customer service in a retail setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least one year of pharmacy-related customer service experience, with strong accuracy and math skills. HIPAA training is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of prior customer service-oriented pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock and take inventory of medications (prescription and OTC).
• Notify Pharmacy Manager of supplies/products to be ordered.
• Receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, package and label products.
• Maintain customer profiles and prepare insurance forms.
• Operate cash register and handle payments.
• Familiarize with all products carried in the department.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department and adhere to HIPAA policies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the pharmacist on duty.

Apply now!**Location:**3015 W US Highway 36 - Pendleton, Indiana 46064**Position Summary:**This role is responsible to perform with accuracy and efficiency assistance to licensed pharmacists by providing medication and other healthcare products to patients. Assist with preparing prescribed medication to patients by counting tablets, labeling bottles, stocking products, providing customer service, utilizing the computer systems to maintain patient profiles and insurance claims, and checking out patients that ensures that the shift contributes to the financial interest of the store.
